This place is the ancestral and contemporary home of the Multnomah, Clackamas, Tumwater, Watlala bands of the Chinook, and the Tualatin Kalapuya People. We also acknowledge the systemic policies of genocide, relocation, and assimilation that still impact many Indigenous/Native American families today.
